" REACHING UP, REACHING IN, SO THAT WE CAN, REACH OUT "
" Salute one another with an holy kiss. The Churches of Christ salute you. "
ROMANS 16:16
Welcome to the Forrest Road Church fo Christ. A place of soul searching and spiritual uplifting. A place where you can have a little talk with Jesus while holding to his un-changing hand. We speak where the Bible speaks and we are silent where the Bible is silent. We're goverend by the New Law/Covenant and wise enough to use the Old Law/Covenant as a learning resource. A place where just an "Amen" will do. Our doors are open and the invitation to become a Christian never expires. If you are a guest, we would like you to know that you are our most honored and esteemed guest. We invite you to return and worship with us again. If you are a visiting member, we invite you to join our Christian family and worship with us in spirit and truth. So, once again welcome to the Forrest Road Church of Christ.
From the Minister's Desk # 5 :
" BLESSED "
Matthew 5: 11-12
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
A good reputation is a fragile thing, especially in this day of rapid communication and mass media. Just being in the wrong place at the wrong time can ruin a person's life. A reputation is not something to be taken lightly. A good name is to be chosen over great riches (Proverbs 22:1). It's something to value and protect. Aperson who doesn't value his reputation may someday desire credibility and not find it. Our reputations can be ruined by wrong things we do, by the people with whom we are associated, or by disparaging words spoken about us. Just fifteen minutes of notoriety can destroy everything a person has worked for all his life. PRAYER IS OUR ONLY DEFENSE. It should be an on-going process. Pray for God to redeem the situation and bring good out of it. He can do it.
Food for Thought: " The Bible "
Did you know that when you carry the " The Bible ", Satan has a headache, when you open it, he collapses, when he sees you reading it, he loses his strenght, AND when you stand on the Word of God, Satan can't hurt you !
